the handsomest little man in the world

Our sweet, handsome, forever pup.
I brought you home twelve years ago today.
We love you, big buddy.

An update: since we saw the vet and put our guy on 150 mg of Rimadyl every day, Durango has improved with each week that goes by. He also gets monthly Adequan (glucosamine) shots and BACON on shot day!
He's excited to walk and he does well on his walks. He plays ball in the yard every night. He's happy. It's changed his life and we could not have hoped for more.

  5. He is very handsome! I have to say, I love the rear shot of the paws! So glad he is doing better. I am missing my fur baby tonight, he went to my moms today to play with the girly girls (her dogs) and is staying over tonight. How many dogs do you know that goes to granny's to spend the night? 6. Hey lady, working with the government for 33 yrs I do know how bureaucracy works!!! This is not something I wanted to do but you know, I had to retire due to the fibro so I figure I just need to go for it.

  8. That Rimadyl is a miracle drug, isn't it?? I'm so happy that Durango is doing much better. Our chocolate lab Brady will be 12 in October and he's starting to slow down. When he has the Rimadyl in his system he's a big puppy again!! The photo of Durango's feet is one of my all time favorites, along with Lucky's freckled belly shot of course!!!! : ) xoxoxo

    1. I initially went through alot of turmoil over the Rimadyl....there are so many horror stories on the internet about it but all I know is it has changed Durango's life. He is back to his old self and we are so thankful.

Give your Brady a big hug from us!

    2. Yay Durango! Best news I've heard today. I got an even better tip (I hope) from a local vet. I put Tanner Squid on Denamarin (S-Adenosylmethionine (SAMe) and silybin). It's the good stuff in milk thistle and SAM-e. Supposed to be awesome liver support. Won't know till we get his blood drawn again, but last time is liver function was creeping up, so I asked if there was more I could do and that what she suggested. I give it to him an hour before his dinner. From Nutramax Labs, the company that makes Cosequin.
      :-)

    3. Thank you for the Denamarin tip! So far Durango's liver function is ok, but like you, I want to do everything I can for him.
Hope it brings Tanner's numbers back to a good level and thanks again!
