Yes, it's coming on cat's paws.
I absolutely love that. Soft, quiet cat's paws.
i have felt it, likewise, the last couple of days-changing-into-evenings....the light is different, the air is cooler, the SMELLS are of autumn quickly approching. how fun to share the seasons with you!x
Isn't it a wonderful thing to share the changing seasons? I love fall. I love everything about it. It can't come soon enough!xx
Nice photo. I first thought of frost patterns - oh my! I know what you mean about the light changing as we move to - oh dare I say the A word already!? - Autumn. I hear a change in the sound of the Blue Jay's calling at this time of year, even the morning air across the farmer's fields waft differently.
Say the A word!! I love how the subtle changes come to us, awaken our senses. Such a beautiful time of year.
Beautiful photo!! Although it's still only the middle of August and the temperatures are climbing back into the 90's after a couple of gorgeous days with low temps and low humidity, I also am starting to feel a shift toward fall. Maybe because the days are starting to get noticeably shorter now. Surprisingly, I'm not super anxious for fall like I usually am at this point in the summer. I made a conscious decision to enjoy every day without thinking too far ahead. Lots of big changes going on for us as you know so I'm going to enjoy the relative calmness now while I can. : ) Have a beautiful weekend my friend!!! xoxo~ Wendy
Like you, I am reminded that it is still summer (highs in the upper 90's today) and I may be a little guilty of rushing the seasons along. Best to enjoy each day for what it is. Enjoy the calm between the seasons and I hope your days are good ones!xx
I could look at the light on that sage all day long, it's so gorgeous. My week's temp has been in the 90's; it's 95 right now. I love summer and I'm not in a hurry for the A word, although it's probably my favorite season. Gimme one more, no three more weeks with the horses, those warm nights watching the red sun go down on Green mountain...let it linger, until hunting season begins. Then, I suppose, I will embrace Autumn, and spend more time in Red Feather, happily watching Aspen glow. ;)
You are the sun worshipper, aren't you? ;) I hope you have many, many more glorious days on the mountain. Hugs to the horses and to you, sister. xx
All the changes are almost imperceptible - the light, the leaves and even the smell in the air.
Considering the high is predicted to be 96 degrees today, those signs of autumn are pretty imperceptible right now. But once the sun sets, a little earlier each night, I'll know my favorite season is not far away!
This photo is incredibly beautiful! Even though we broke 100 degrees on Saturday, hints are in the air that a change is coming. The horses are shedding in handfuls, this time short little hairs from their summer coats. A few of the cottonwood trees have clusters of yellow leaves, and the mornings are cool enough for long sleeves doing the feeding chores. I, too, am trying to embrace what IS rather than being too wistful about what has gone by or what may lie ahead. Each day in its time, but noticing the details changing in our surroundings IS what is.xoxo Janet ( because the system REFUSES to let me sign in with my Wordpress account...)
!00 degrees!! And I'm over here complaining about the upper 90's!!Come on Autumn, embrace me with those cooler days (and nights), turning leaves, and that feeling, that SMELL, of the changing season. Yes, I am guilty. I'm ready to say goodbye to the heat of summer.xoxo(Is it MY blog that won't let you sign in with Wordpress?)
such beautiful Sage light xo
Thanks, Deb. It's definitely some beautiful light this time of year.
Stunning photo. I can feel it barely tipping here, too. I was surprised to wake up to a 57F morning. Pleased, but surprised.xx
Thank you. This change of season, it's a beautiful thing. xx
