Meet me in those spaces
between the earth and the sky.

  1. All those Sage look like trees. In a misty land far, far away. Not even remotely New Mexican desert.
Damp is nice for a change. ;)

    1. No, not even remotely New Mexican desert. This was the strange and wonderful high desert of Utah. I was right below my mountain when the fog started to lift....it was both magical and mystical....I actually found myself waiting for a unicorn to appear!!

    2. Oh yeah, I wondered if this was up in that Utah/Colorado border land, that you sink your soul into.
It's so beautiful up there, isn't it. x

  2. these photos have a dream-like quality that make unicorn sighting seem a real possibility! it must have been fantastic to sit and watch the swirling mists transform the landscape-- certainly being in the right place at the right time! just beautiful! xx

  3. this fog is so appealing to my spirit.
    beautiful photos.
after working 39+ years of night shift, now being exposed to endless days of sunshine and warmth, i know i should be more appreciative, but really, i could do with some fog and rain right now.

    1. There's something about the fog....it's good medicine. The next time the fog comes down from the mountain and covers the desert, I'll send some your way.

(39 years on the night shift! What stories you must have!)

    1. Thanks, Susan! I felt that same way as I was standing in the fog, looking out over the place I love.

  7. Gosh, isn't it foggy? Gives the Mesa such a different atmosphere - perfect description of space between earth and sky.
We too have been experiencing a lot of fog, its seems characteristic for this time of year (Autumn) here, especially in all of our valleys and along our rivers. Things should be well and truly warming up over there by now?

    1. It was a rare and beautiful thing, that foggy day! And yes, things are warming up here these days....and it's a little warmer that I care to admit. (Nearly 90 degrees in the shade!) Time to head up to the mountain! xx
