reconnect with nature

....with a day on the mountain--the same mountain seen in so many of my posts. It's always good to head up to the mountain and witness the seasons there as opposed to the weather in the high desert. A complete contrast to the 60 degree temperatures we have on the mesa, but the wild turkeys were out in force and they seem to enjoy the snow and the cold!

Linking up with Chrisy at living a good north coast life and reconnecting with nature, one four photographs at a time.

    1. Those turkeys own that mountain, summer and winter. They merely allow me to visit.

  2. I can't believe how different everything looked back in the Autumn days!
You're lucky to be able to visit your sanctuary in all the seasons. I definitely think your home in the desert and your getaway to the mountains is an ideal arrangement.
I'd be happy with that. Oh, yes I would. Good morning little roadrunner, I'd say. ;)

    1. If I could have my summer home on the mountain and my spring/fall/winter home on the mesa, I'd be one happy camper. I'd spend my days talking to the turkeys and the roadrunners. Yes indeed.

  3. I'm glad you have a spot to go to sit with the seasonal shifts.
I'm glad you notice how they shift you, too.
Go out and chase a turkey, the way they run cracks me up.

    1. Watching and feeling the seasons change is soul food.
And yes, I've chased the occasional turkey, camera in hand, fighting the scrub oak and gnarly roots in my path. Somehow, the turkeys always win.

  4. somehow the title of this seems like it should be "connecting with nature, again and again and again" because you never seem to dis-connect with nature! this beautiful natural world just fills up your soul, and you carry that with you wherever you go! next time you chase a turkey, hand the camera over to whoever is with you so that we can all enjoy that fun little romp, ok?!

    1. It's true, I can't get enough of Nature, no matter the season! And just for you, next time I see a turkey, I'll toss the camera to my husband and tell him to start shooting!

  6. I will never tire of seeing photos of wild turkeys, just amazing. And is it possible that the landscape becomes even more beautiful with a dusting of snow across it?
So glad you are out getting your winter fix :)
Thanks for continuing to link up with us at Reconnect with Nature xx

    1. Wild turkeys are beautiful birds aren't they! And they have so much personality! The turkeys and I were enjoying the winter weather together in the Utah mountains.
