mantis

He watches my every move. He stalks me in the grass. He observes me while he eats grasshoppers. This time of year, he rules the back yard. I don't argue.

what will you do

Stand at the edge of the world.
Hold something delicate in your hand.
 Climb higher.
Travel new roads.
Experience the beauty of Nature.
Shine after the rain.
 Wake with the sun.
 Explore new horizons.
 Find peace.
Stand your ground.

the pure awesomeness of the changing season

Is there anything quite so wonderful as the first signs of fall?

listen to the river

The days began quietly, gently, at the cabin by the river. The trees, the rain, the sound of the water all reminded me that I am alive. I am a part of this big, beautiful earth.
I wandered the riverbank. I walked in the woods. I laid awake at night, listening to the rain on the red tin roof of the cabin. Nature spoke to me during those peaceful days and nights, and I answered, telling the wind and the trees and even the river itself....I understood.

letting go

Letting go....and believing in the changing seasons, believing in the lessons of Nature. Believing in life and love and even believing in letting go.
In one month's time, I've learned to do all that.
The sun still rises every day, but I live differently, I love differently. The earth still calls to me, but I walk upon it differently.
Don't get me wrong, life is still good. It's just different now. It will take some getting used to.
