quiet time

I love the days between the this year and the next, balancing between the present and the future. These days are quiet, reflective. There are early morning walks in the desert cold and afternoons finishing the projects started earlier this year. There's lots of dog cuddling and contemplation. Mostly, there's gratitude for each day, and for each of you, scattered around the world, as you've brought so much into my life this year.

Wishing you all a very happy new year, filled with everything your heart desires.

  1. I like the slowing down, too. You can almost feel the closing of the year and the wonder and questions of a new beginning.
    It's a quiet time. We've got so much snow, Sagey. And it's getting deeper & deeper...(sorry) ;)
Unfortunately it's SO cold. Too cold to ski or play outside. Leaving more time to linger with the furry creatures that roam the house, and like you, tend to some neglected projects. Like letter writing!!!! I'm very behind. But, I have good reason...
Bless you out there in the desert, among those tattered wind blown yucca pods! Gosh, ours don't even look like that! Haha
Happy New Year! It's gonna be a good one. ;)

    1. The slow pace is definitely happening here. It's been cold here too. Colder than usual, which I don't mind at all. ;)
No snow though. Maybe you could send me some good old Wyoming winter weather??
Happy New Year to you, too. xx
