listen to the river

The days began quietly, gently, at the cabin by the river. The trees, the rain, the sound of the water all reminded me that I am alive. I am a part of this big, beautiful earth.
I wandered the riverbank. I walked in the woods. I laid awake at night, listening to the rain on the red tin roof of the cabin. Nature spoke to me during those peaceful days and nights, and I answered, telling the wind and the trees and even the river itself....I understood.

    1. You know, I usually head straight for the high desert, the canyons and the mesas. But this time I felt the need to go to the mountains and the river. I heard her calling, and her voice did wonders for my soul. xx
