distraction

I try. I really do try to cut the lawn, weed the garden, tend to the yard....but I am so easily distracted by sparkling drops of water, spiders building their webs, and webs shining in the sun.
I can't help but abandon the lawnmower, grab my camera, and become lost in this world of color and light.
Yard work? Forgotten. I am doomed to wander the yard, gardening tools scattered in the grass, camera in hand.
It's amazing I get anything done around here.

  3. add me to the roll call... I sometimes joke about having adult-onset ADHD, but I've come to realize that photography has opened my eyes in a way they never were before. I'm grateful that I have learned to pay such close attention to the natural world, and grateful you have as well!! these are wonder*full!!

    1. Thank you! Photography is my passion.....almost my way of speaking without words. Plus, it gives me the perfect excuse to wander aimlessly, taking in all of nature, and sharing it with the world! xx

  5. I wouldn't want to see you any other way, but distracted by nature.
These images are marvelous. I love the last picture.
There was a time I thoughtlessly killed spiders.
    But, now I never do.

    1. Distraction should be my middle name! Distraction with a macro lens.
Like you, I rarely will kill a spider, unless it's a black widow. (I don't like them around the dogs.)
