    1. We're in Albuquerque, but do most of our hiking north of town. I admit I do enjoy the desolate nature of the mesas!

  3. Neat photo. I thought of you over the last few days as we are experiencing frost quakes - which happen as the area we live it has a close to the surface water table as because of the prolonged bitter cold, this water table freezes & cracks creating quakes. The noise of the cracking is like thunder & if you are outside where it happens, you do feel a shudder. Freaky nature thing & I thought would it not be neat to share this with someone who appreciates the coolness of nature. (no pun intended about nature & cool because it is frigid !!!!)

    1. Wow, that is a freaky nature thing! Almost....like the earth is speaking to you! I love how differently nature presents itself to us when we are in touch and able to see/hear what it is saying. Thanks for sharing that and teaching me a little about your area!
